ESSENTIAL SEVILLE
This 3.5-hour tour allows you to discover the city’s main monuments, including the Alcazar and its gardens, and the Cathedral and Giralda. The tour also includes the Santa Cruz neighbourhood.

Seville Cathedral: Built on the site of the old mosque, it is now one of the largest churches in the world and the largest Gothic one. The Patio de los Naranjos (Courtyard of the Orange Trees) and the minaret — the majestic Giralda tower — remain from the Muslim period. You can climb to the top of the Giralda to enjoy the beautiful views of the city.
The cathedral houses the world’s largest altarpiece. Its immense heritage includes paintings by Murillo, Zurbaran and Goya, as well as sculptures by Martínez Montañés. For these and many other reasons, it was declared a World Heritage Site alongside the Alcazar. It is an essential visit in Seville.
Seville Alcazar: A royal residence from the 8th century to the present day. Al-Mutamid, Saint Ferdinand, Peter I, the Catholic Monarchs and Charles V are just some of the people who have lived there. They all left their mark and tales to tell.
Its walls conceal three palaces: a Gothic palace, a Renaissance palace, and the stunning Mudejar palace. The complex is completed with its gardens, which are like an oasis in the heart of Seville.
The Santa Cruz neighbourhood: This part of the city seems frozen in time, with its narrow streets, squares and corners transporting us to times gone by. Many stories, including Carmen, Don Juan and The Barber of Seville, originate from the Santa Cruz neighbourhood.
All of our guided tours in Seville are private. They adapt to your pace, allowing you to enjoy the city’s main monuments at your leisure.

As well as the attractions included in the ‘Essential Seville’ tour (the Alcazar, the Cathedral and the Giralda), you will see:
The Spanish Square, which was the Spanish pavilion at the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition. Full of symbolism, it represents the Spanish provinces with beautiful ceramic tiles. It is said to be one of the most beautiful squares in Spain, and even if you don’t realise it, you will have seen it before as it has been used as a filming location in numerous films. You cannot leave Seville without seeing it.
The Old Royal Tobacco Factory, built in the 18th century, is one of the largest civil buildings in Spain and now houses some faculties of the University of Seville. Did you know that the famous Carmen, the cigarette girl of Seville, worked here?
The Guadalquivir: The Romans called it the Betis. During the Islamic period, it was known as al-Wādi al-Kabīr, meaning ‘the great river’. The Guadalquivir, which is its current name, has always been the driving force behind the city. In the 15th century, it was the port and gateway to “the Indies”. It is impossible to understand Seville without its river.
This guided tour of Seville combines well-known monuments with secret corners of the city.

The María Luisa Park is Seville’s most important garden, covering almost 38 hectares, and is home to the Spanish Square and the America Square. The tour also takes us to places a little further from the center, such as the pavilions of the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition and the port of Seville.
No tour of Seville would be complete without seeing the river, the Torre del Oro, the Triana Bridge, the San Telmo Palace and the old tobacco factory. There will be stops to take photos, and you will receive explanations from an official tour guide, making this an unforgettable visit.
